Ok so I really hope it is complete. There is a 5 % chance it might not work. But I must say a 3 day break was nice. I haven't felt any real side affects from the Radioactive Iodine. Just a swollen sore neck, and that is really it. They say I won't start feeling the reverse side affects of Graves disease for around 4 weeks...maybe longer. Each endocrinologist I talk to says something different. I am just worried I am going to start gaining wieght like a cow! So, enough about me...Andrew survived very well. I think it helped him appreciate what I do a bit more. I know I definitly appreciated him. Made me grateful for the husband I have. There are times I think why can't Andrew do this or that, but then I realize I wouldn't trade the things he does do for me and the kids for a million dollars...well maybe. He is the dish man. I think I may do the dishes 2 times a week...thats stretching it. I don't have to ask him , he just does it. He gets up in the night with the kids before I ever even hear them. He helps babysit other peoples kids and is excited about it! Did I mention he helps fold and put away laundry? (he isn't allowed to wash it, but that's a different story) He also cooks. I am sure you are all wondering what I do...I was kinda wondering the same thing! He really is great and I couldn't ask for a better companion. Poor guy just has to put up with me!
So Andrew did alot while I was in isolation. He grocery shopped, made ornaments with Lexi at school, went to the Ward Christmas party, went and ate lunch with the kids at school, then took them to see Santa, took them to Carters soccer game, and went to a baptism. I had him take pics along the way of some of the activities!

I loved reading about your remarkable husband who is clearly a blessing to you and your family, as you are to them.
And I had not realized until the baptism this weekend that Owen is walking. He is adorable!

Hey Kari, this is your old roomie Emily from Snow College. I just was going to tell you that my brother was diagnosed with Grave's Disease a couple of months ago and had to do the same thing that you did for your thyroid. Small world, I think that he hasn't been experiencing too many side effects, so hopefully you won't either. It is good to hear about you and your family and I hope you guys are doing well and have a Merry Christmas.
