Carter and the Mayor!So, Carter has become quite the celebrity. He received an award last night for being Biloxi's Youngest Volunteer of the year. He got to meet the mayor AJ Holloway, which was what he was looking forward to the most. He was so funny to watch. Everyone of course gave him a standing O again, and all the women in the audience were crying because the lady presenting the award was bawling. It was awesome. There were about 40 nominations and 13 different awards. They had a fried catfish and fried shrimp dinner afterwards too. Another cool thing was he was on the news again! He got to meet a different reporter this time, Crystal Allen, and she was super nice! He was even able to collect so more money for Lexi Moore!

I was so pleased to see him on the news getting this award and being interviewed on WLOX TV. He is remarkably well composed for a six year old under the pressure of interviews and meeting high power people : )
Carter is an exceptional young guy in an exceptional family.
Again, kudos to you Kari for your wonderful project that gave his compassion the opportunity to bloom.
